Micro Cap Stock Profilers and Websites for Micro Cap Companies

The world of micro cap stocks and companies is convoluted and at times confusing.  While we here at love to blog and write about the in and outs of micrcap land, we are well aware that our website alone is not sufficient to make an informed decision about any stock.  Below, we profile some of our top picks on the Internet to learn and read about stocks traded over-the-counter that can be considered "micro cap".
Seeking Alpha is the premier website for actionable stock market opinion and analysis, and vibrant, intelligent finance discussion. We handpick articles from the world's top market blogs, money managers, financial experts and investment newsletters - publishing approximately 250 articles daily. Seeking Alpha gives a voice to over 5,000 contributors, providing access to the nation's most savvy and inquisitive investors. Their site is the only free, online source for over 1,500 public companies' quarterly earnings call transcripts, including the S&P 500. Seeking Alpha was named the Most Informative Website by Kiplinger's Magazine and has received Forbes' 'Best of the Web' Award. Their editorial process:

"First, we select only the most interesting articles from over 400 regular contributors and submitted items (approximately 25% of new authors are accepted). Then, we edit articles for clarity and consistency. Finally, we organize and tag articles so they can be easily found and subscribed to by stock ticker, sector and theme."

Seeking Alpha differs from other finance sites because it focuses on opinion and analysis rather than news, and is primarily written by investors who describe their personal approach to stock picking and portfolio management, rather than by journalists.

Seeking Alpha has a strong readership among money managers, research analysts, investment bankers, and serious individual investors. 'Alpha' is a finance term referring to a stock's performance relative to the market; it's used more loosely by fund managers to describe beating their index - so every stock picker is essentially "seeking alpha."
NanoCaps.CO is a profile site that generates blog posts on the newest and latest nano cap, micro cap, and small cap companies trading on stock exchanges and most trading over the counter.  NanoCaps.CO does not give opinion, analysis, or news--it simply list companies considered to be a nano cap company (ie companies with valuations under $200 Million and with stock prices generally under $5)

NanoCaps.CO has a strong following of readers interested in smaller sized public companies, public shell companies, and development stage companies with high upside and risk.  They also tout they're alert system and twitter account @nanocaps as a way to keep up to date with the latest profile on smaller public companies.  NanoCaps.CO was developed and is maintained by The Cervitude Network, an Investor Relations medium focused on the micro cap sector.

InvestorsHub.Com, Inc. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of ADVFN PLC, which trades on the London Stock Exchange as AFN. The Site Investors Hub ("iHub", as they call it) is built to provide a forum for serious investors to gather and share market insights in a dynamic environment using an advanced discussion platform. The site is designed to be clean and simple, allowing you to get the real-time market information you need, quickly and easily. Everything about the site is neat and fast!  Investors Hub has been online for over 12 years and currently has 360,335 Members who have posted 79,527,457 Messages on 21,114 Boards. Their Members currently write on average 40,000 new Messages each trading day. You can get the lowdown on our staff on their Wiki Admin Page. Among our Members, you'll find astute market insight in a less-restrictive environment than some sites, and a far more civil level of discourse than you'll find on the rest.

Of course these are not the only sites on the Internet to learn about micro cap stocks, but they are a good start.  The S.E.C. also has some pertinent information about micro cap and penny stocks as well as the exchanges that list them.  If you are trading over the counter stocks, it will be worth your while to surf the OTC Markets website aswell.  Hope this was helpful and make sure to follow us on twitter @microcapcompany
